In recent weeks, I have initiated targeted interventions across Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North to address critical needs and improve daily living for our people, with visible progress already being recorded.

The ongoing rehabilitation of Ajaka Powerline, Shoyindo Road, and Goriola Odunukan Street in Sagamu is tackling long-standing challenges that affected movement, businesses, and daily life. I am encouraged by the positive feedback from residents and the Methodist Church, Sagamu Remo Diocese, which reflects the impact of these efforts.

I have also commenced work on the Ewu-Oluwo Road project, a 1km road with dual drainage, executed in partnership with the Federal Co-operative, Oji River, under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security. This will improve mobility, support economic activities, and enhance living conditions.

The Free SS3 Holiday Coaching Programme, which began on April 13 in Sagamu, is providing structured academic support to students preparing for WAEC and final examinations. At the end of the programme, the best-performing students will receive academic grants in recognition of their excellence and to support their educational advancement.

In Iperu, the “Light Up Ikenne” initiative has commenced with the installation of solar street lights through the Rural Electrification Agency, improving safety and supporting economic activities.

Targeted empowerment programmes for farmers, youths, and women will soon commence to further strengthen livelihoods and expand opportunities.

On the legislative front, I have remained active, with four bills sponsored and three motions successfully moved, ensuring strong representation for our constituency at the national level.

These interventions reflect my deliberate, people-focused approach to development. I urge residents to take ownership of these projects, protect them, and ensure they are sustained for the benefit of all.

Together, we are building a constituency that works for everyone.

Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji
